VES Awards | Saiu lista dos vencedores
O Rei Leão, o remake em live-action da Disney, composto quase inteiramente de personagens geradas por computador, ganhou três prêmios no 18º Visual Effects Society Awards (VES Awards) anual da Visual Effects Society, que foram entregues na última quarta-feira à noite em Los Angeles.
O filme ganhou por sua cinematografia virtual e ambiente criado, e também recebeu o prêmio de Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature, a categoria no VES que corresponde mais de perto à categoria de "Melhores Efeitos Visuais" do Oscar.
O Irlandês, com seu amplo uso da tecnologia antienvelhecimento, ganhou dois prêmios, incluindo Efeitos de suporte extraordinários em um recurso de fotorrealismo. Link Perdido foi o principal filme de animação com dois prêmios.
